On January 29, 2009, President Obama signed his first bill into law. That bill, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, guaranteed that wage discrimination would be subject to challenge in our legal system.
One year later, despite the ground made up by the Ledbetter law, women continue to earn only 78 cents for every dollar made by their male colleagues.
It's time for Congress to do something about this injustice.
The Paycheck Fairness Act, passed by the House last January, will help do just that. The Paycheck Fairness Act could help close the wage gap -- but only if the Senate acts.
Tell the Senate to give women all the tools that they need to achieve full equality by passing the Paycheck Fairness Act today!

Your voice is needed urgently. Congress and the White House are currently negotiating key provisions in health care reform, and access to abortion services is still on the table.
It is not too late to stop anti-choice provisions included in the House and Senate bills from becoming law.
Congress and the White House must hear from you that health reform is about expanding access to health care for all -- not rolling back women's access to critical health services.
Urge Congress and the Obama administration to speak out against the anti-choice language in the House and Senate health reform bills.
