The NCJW Greater Detroit Section motivated voters across the state of Michigan to show their support for embryonic stem cell research. Through grassroots advocacy and coalition efforts, the section became a vital partner in the nonprofit organization Michigan Citizens for Stem Cell Research & Cures.

In September, NCJW members and supporters joined coalition partners in urging the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) not to declare a rule that would impose significant barriers to individuals' access to basic health care, including contraceptive services and information.
Yesterday, HHS made that rule final, blatantly ignoring the multitude of comments it received in strong opposition to this proposal.
Now, your voice is once again urgently needed to stop this harmful rule from taking effect.
Act now by telling President-elect Obama and Congress to act quickly to rescind this draconian regulation.
